Dielectric Material Test Systems
CCN makes and sells systems to test and measure the dielectric constant and loss tangent of dielectric materials, such plastics, glass, ceramics, FR4, advanced circuit board laminates, and flex circuit materials. The Dk systems include test fixtures and automation software. The software computes dielectric constant and dissipation factor values at specific frequencies measured at resonant frequencies in the range of 1 to 15 GHz, depending on the fixture.
CCN's Dk systems incorporate IPC TM-650, ASTM, and NIST test methods for measuring and reporting dielectric constant (Dk) and loss tangent (Df).
The dielectric material fixtures are easy to use and are suitable for both R&D and production testing. The software automates three different series of vector network analyzers, and we are always open to supporting the automation of more instruments to assist our customers.

DkSCR™ is our Split Cylinder Resonator system. It’s a combination of fixture and software that performs the IPC TM-650 2.5.5.13 dielectric constant and loss tangent test method developed by NIST. DkWGR™ is CCN's Waveguide Resonator system-- a combination of fixture and VNA automation software that performs the ASTM D2520 B dielectric constant and loss tangent test method at room temperature. This test method is called for in a number of high-frequency antenna applications and material contracts. DkWGR tests Dk and Df at a few frequencies in the range of 9-12 GHz. DkWGR systems are sold with test fixture, VNA automation software, and dielectric verification specimen.
